Weir Privacy Policy
Last updated: August 12, 2026
Weir is a capacity planning app for Jira built by Aquarium Apps (operated by Stargazers Consulting LLC), currently in development and not yet available on the Atlassian Marketplace. This policy explains what data Weir will touch, where it will live, and what rights you have over it once it launches.
What data we collect
Sprint and issue data. Weir reads sprint and issue data from Jira's APIs - issues, assignees, and estimates - to build its capacity view. This data stays in your Jira instance; Weir does not copy or export it to any external system.
App-specific configuration. Availability settings and capacity rules and configurations you set up in Weir are stored in Forge Storage (Atlassian's key-value store), keyed to your Jira instance and account.
How your data is stored
Weir is built entirely on Atlassian Forge. Aquarium Apps operates no external servers of its own, and Weir accesses Jira only through Atlassian's permissioned APIs. All data Weir writes - your availability settings and capacity configuration - lives on Atlassian's infrastructure. Atlassian's own privacy commitments and data residency controls apply. You can review Atlassian's privacy policy at atlassian.com/legal/privacy-policy.
Your rights
Weir does not yet have an in-app self-service flow for accessing, exporting, or deleting your data - the app itself is still in development. For any of these requests, email support@aquariumapps.io and we will handle it manually.
Data retention
Your data persists for as long as Weir is installed on your Jira instance. When the app is uninstalled, Atlassian's Forge platform soft-deletes your Forge Storage records: Atlassian retains them for 28 days, during which reinstalling within 21 days and requesting recovery can bring them back, before they are permanently deleted.
